Same Kind of Different as Me is a true story about the unlikely friendship between wealthy art dealer Ron Hall and Denver Moore, a homeless man he befriends through his wife, Deborah Hall. Motivated by Deborah's cancer diagnosis, Ron tries to mend their struggling marriage by volunteering at a shelter, where he meets the wise and formerly enslaved Denver, and the two form a profound bond that changes both of their lives.
